The power of intention and "butterfly effect"

I was reading online news that recently Yahoo Singapore is launching this Purple Hope program to support the Children's Cancer Foundation (CCF).

While reading the news and update, looking through the featured article and the well intention of the Yahoo employee. Suddenly, something struck me.

I just realised the power of intention and the "butterfly effect" I read from One Minute Millionaire.

In 2007, my friends, business associates and I organised an event and we donated part of our proceed to the Children's Cancer Foundation. It wasn't a big amount, but all of us who involved were very happy, that time, we called ourselves Beacon Angels.

Subsequently, in 2010, when I was running my own business, I decided to help raise fund for the needy. Some how, one of the charitable group responded well was CCF. Unfortunately, the procedures were too complicated for a small setup like my company.
Nevertheless, some how, we were involved with CCF at the area we are expert at. Soon, we provide therapeutic massage service to the parents and caregivers on a monthly basis until now and the parents love it.

In 2010 July, I shaved my hair in support for the Hair For Hope organised by Children's Cancer Foundation.  At that time, one of my friends, who is much more successful then I was, met me after I became shavee. After seeing my "new hairless style", he explored option to organise an event to help CCF raise fund. He was later  was diagnosed with kidney cancer shortly after that and luckily he is well now.  Probably that was one of the factor that make him rallied his contacts to organise fund raising event for CCF.

Some times end of year 2010, one of my workshop participants liked our idea of giving back to society and told us that her company has resource to do annual charitable events. Naturally, I linked her up with CCF and nothing much seems to happen.

Since then, life goes on as usual. We provide our massage service twice a month to the parents and caregivers.  I rallied my friends to join the Hair For Hope 2011  and we did raise some fund for CCF and my friend love his new "hairstyle".  There were many kind souls (many are my workshop participants) who responded to my donation pledge and I am really grateful for that.  Then, everything seems back to normal again.

Last month, when we provided our regular massage service to parents and caregivers, there were people walking outside the makeshift massage room.  Later, we were told that Yahoo staff was visiting CCF to understand the CCF operation. Now, you can find a few featured stories about the strong heart and fighting spirit about CCF, the children cancer patients and the caregivers at Yahoo homepage. As I were reading those articles, I spotted the familiar face that we see monthly.

Suddenly, something crossed my mind and struck me just now. I've just realised this Yahoo Purple Hope project could be just a thought that leads to many ripple effect.  Now it has translated into online project that has already raised more than $35,000.

I realised that everything happened for a reason. I call this the power of intention and butterfly effect.

Looking back from now to 2007, I realised that there is a pattern. All this happened just because it started with a simple but purposeful intention in 2007.

In 2007, a budding entrepreneur who was still struggling and finding his path to business success, just set an intention to make a difference to society despite his own challenges.

Now, through his and his partners regular effort of "doingness", the effect has become bigger.

Just like a butterfly flipping it's wings, that eventually can translate to a strong wind at the other part of the world.

Recalling what Steve Job's mentioned in his speech at Stanford University - connecting the dots.
When I connect the dots, I realise the power of intention and we cannot underestimate the  butterfly effects.

If we want to do something good for the society, don't worry how small the effect it is now. Many a times, we may not know what will be the outcome. We just need to have faith and trust the power of intention and the butterfly effects.

On of my favorite quote from Mother Teresa, "In this life, we cannot do great things, we can only do small things with great love" has been always a reminder to me to do whatever we feel is right to do, no matter how small.   We just need to be butterfly, keep flipping our wings.

Lesson drawn from Dallas Mavericks NBA first title

It is always good to learn from sports even though one may not be a sport lover.

I've stopped following NBA since the retirement of Michael Jordan.
However, occasionally I do peep into the news finding out what is happening around.

This year NBA is another typical success story to learn.

Dallas Maverick has not been having any NBA Championship title in the franchise's 31-year history. The closest they got into was year 2006 NBA Finals, which happened that Miami Heat ended Maverick dreams with the title.

This year, the Maverick faced off with the Heat again.

The Heat "seems" to be superior than Maverick. The Heat has the power house trio, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh which led the team to 72 wins in the playoff seems to have far more advantages than the Maverick.

Dallas Maverick who had only 2 players remaining from the 2006 teams, started off the season with average result.  However, it has shown that it is beyond skills and being a star player when something is at stake.

The Maverick led by Dirk Nowitzki, together with Jason Terry has shown that when something matters to us most, it no longer how good you are but how much you want it.

The Maverick didn't start of the season with favorable results. However, when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. When the odds are against us, we just got to show the universe how much we want it.

Dirk Nowitzki who had a torn tendon in his finger and 39 deg C fever had led the team to their first NBA Championship title.

"In a lot of games we kept fighting back," Nowitzki said. "All the wins we got in the fourth quarter, at some point we were down and we kept plugging", Nowitzki

Nowitzki and the team just shown that they want the title badly than others. And most of the time, it is driven by a strong emotion (as I always mention in Ultimate Slimming Intensive workshop)

"And if you lose, you're going to get hammered. I got hammered the last 13 years. So hopefully this year I hope I can make the hammering go away for one year.", said Nowitzki when they are just one game away to clinch the title. He sure had a strong reason to do it.  No wonder he is the MVP of the finals.

Nowitzki does not have many super star players in the team but he had the best team.  A team that support each other no matter what it takes.

Nowitzki said, "You want to be a part of the best and so hopefully we can fulfill that and everything else is kind of a side note to me."

"(Jason Terry) got going early. That one timeout he said to me 'Keep pushing. Remember 2006'. I kept plugging and kept fighting.

In what ever games we play in life, it is important to surround ourselves with good team. The team that asks the best out from us and the people that keep reminding what we really want.

Many a times, it is not how good we are, it is how much we want it.

I watch Glory Road time after time, another basketball movie based on real story where the Texas Miners not only win the title but changing the history of basketball.

There are many lessons we can draw from the movie as well. An inspiration movie to remind us not to let reality affect us, but craft out our reality.

The winning is sweet because we put our heart and soul into it.

Successful Slimming starts from something easy.

Is slimming equals to success?

I have been conducting a number of trainings for corporate team bonding as well as personal health & wellness program.  I always enjoy training because it allows me to share my practical experience as well as learn the experience of the participants.

Many a times, the questions from the participants are good reminder for myself to the important principles that I am teaching.

Yesterday, I was conducting the third session of Ultimate Slimming Intensive workshop for Civil Service Club. It was the last session.

Although, this is not a big group, interestingly, it has lots of learning if the participants really allow themselves to listen and internalize the sharing session.

The uniqueness of Ultimate Slimming Intensive workshop is that it teaches the participants to REALLY enjoy food and stay slim at the same time.  It does not require participants to put on jogging shoe and workout hard 3~4 times a week.  This workshop also discourage participants to spend money on expensive health supplement on slimming pills.

The intent of the workshop is to empower participants to use their natural ability to stay slim or lose weight, a truly mind, body and emotion balance approach.

One of the module of the class is to set the participants perspective right to their successful slimming journey.  Interestingly, as we were sharing an important, scientific proven health information to the participants, there is a strong mental & emotional resistance from one of the participants.

It requires the participants to gradually changing their sleeping pattern.  Not instantaneously, but gradually.
However, from the questions asked by the participants, I knew that she has many "little voice" that may stop  her from achieving the goals she wanted in life, including having a slimmer and fit body.

Through out a short question and answering sessions, she kept finding stories, reasons (or excuses?) & evidence that stopping her to make a small little changes in her lifestyle.

The fact is, if her lifestyle is supporting her goal to be slim and fit, she wouldn't be in the classroom at the first place.

As Albert Einstein said, "Repeating the same thing and hoping to achieve different results, is called insanity".

For this participant, she probably have to re-examine her reason why she need to slim down.
Is slimming a strong intent for her?
Is it strong emotionally driven reason or just a wish or want, good to have goal?
My good guess would be, slimming is not her top 3 priority at all.

If successful slimming within 2 months is her top priority and she truly wants it, then she would have to understand her thinking pattern that is holding her back at her comfort zone.

Probably, there is Fear of changes.
During our coaching session, we work specifically with individual to understand their "little voice" by increasing their mind power.
At times, it would requires a slight modification of lifestyle to coach the participants to achieve autopilot slimming.

For this participants, she probably can start to repeat to herself that "I am willing to let go the good things in order to receive a better one" and thinking deeply what is the meaning of that statement to her.

In short, successful slimming start from something easy, what we tell ourselves everyday and thinking deeply what successful slimming really means to us.

Back to my questions at the start of this article, is slimming equals to success?
Yes, it means a lot to many. If we have habit of overcome our non-supporting beliefs in achieving goals, we have habit of being successful.

Where does success start first? - Part 2

With the previous posting regarding where does success start first.  There were some questions on how to have the "heart and mind".

There are a few aspects we have to look into first.

1) We need to see the reason or reasons WHY we want to achieve certain things.

As the common saying, when the WHY is big enough, the how would automatically come.
For the boy I mentioned in my previous post, he may be too young to really know WHY he wants to be successful in his academic.  Even if he knows the WHY, he would be probably distracted or thinks he does not want to be successful when facing difficulties.  This is not only happening to young children but adult as well.
Sometimes, adult may be even more well trained to give reasons or excuses that they no longer have "passion" into pursuing the things they thought they used to want it.

And it is no surprise, when facing adversity, we tend to rationalise, lay blame or even justify our actions, or lack of action, so that we feel good.

One way to give more clarity to WHY and WHAT we want to achieve is to visualize we already achieving that goal and make ourselves feeling that sense of achievement.  As we see and feel the goals we are achieving, if there is sense of excitement or fulfillment, we sure have the "heart" of wanting to be successful.

Some people call this visualization techniques while other call it focusing.   We might want to spend time with ourselves or the children to do this 5 to 10 mins a day.  It would probably, give us more clarity and we may discover new reasons why we want this goals.

2)  Another area is many a times, we are influenced by ours or somebody non-successful experience.  For example, the boy may have some experiences that he tried hard to be better but the results he had gotten is not favorable.

In that circumstances, he may attached a meaning (conclusion) to that non-successful experience.   For example, he may say these to himself, "I am not good enough in studying", "Study is hard", "I don't want to do better in my study because study is so hard" and etc.  I call this "crappy thought" and I liken this to the "bad crab" in our mind that want us to be mediocre.  I told the boy about the "crab story" so that he understand what is stopping him.   This is the "mind" portion.
Of course, it would be good to have his caregivers remind him from time to time about his "crab" in the mind.
It is all about having good habit of using supportive thought.  As an adult, having somebody holding us accountable is one good way to make sure we maintain and even raise our standards.

I learnt this phrase from Anthony Robbin training, "nothing has a meaning until we attach the meaning to it".  The boy can use more empowering phrase to help me overcome that bad emotion.

3) Lastly, he probably has to start practicing self-talk that is empowering him.  He need to recognize that all of us are unique in our own way.  He can start to acknowledge the good things he had done and building his self-belief and confidence from there.  I call this "love thyself".  Celebration of every success, no matter how small, is the key to anchor our supportive self-beliefs.  Thus, success breeds success.

In fact, it is all about habit of practicing good thought and behavior.  It is the habit of doing it consistently everyday rather than do it sporadically huge amount that will produce the results.

Now we know a little more about "heart & mind" of being successful, it is about time to practise.

This is my recent reminder for myself and my friends, "Learning only starts when we are doing it, the experience we accumulate then is called knowledge".    Lets do it! Success to you!

Where does success start first?

Recently I had a chance to talk to a primary school boy.
He was a smart kids, street smart I would say.
He has very good memory and he can predict what you gonna tell him rather fast.
By right, he should be doing well in whatever he does, right?

Yes, if he choose to believe he can first.
Unfortunately, when he showed me his recent exam results, he is far from being happy on what he had gotten.
Even though he is smarter than his elder brother, however, the results he delivered is far behind from his elder brother.

In fact, this little boy has spent more effort for his study lately.

While I have to spend some time to console him. I found something vital for this kid and probably most children.

This boy has a self-image of not being good enough and some how develop the habit of giving up too early.

I may not be sure how exactly he developed this self-image or habit.
My good guess will be the environment he was brought up or somebody of authority probably has told him something "not good enough" in his younger day.

Of course, his habit of reinforcing the non-supporting belief is not doing him any good.  Naturally, whatever he  studies, he will think it is hard.  Even though he has good memory, he tends to forget the things he studied, especially the subject he doesn't like.

Consequently, he will reinforce his non-supporting beliefs, especially the subject he thinks is hard.
The vicious cycle continues.

Of course, I taught him a simple trick to break the habit of non-supporting beliefs. Initially he was reluctant to do it because it sounds stupid to him, but I persisted.
Within, 10 minutes, it showed result to him on his fearful subject instantaneously, Chinese Language.  His confidence went up significantly and his body language told me that he felt good about himself.  Of course, his learnt all the difficult words within 15min.

He may think that is some special learning techniques.
However, it is just my method to help him break the non-supportive beliefs, refocus his attention on his success.  (In my previous post, I mentioned about success breeds success)

From this short experience, I realized that success needs to come from the mind and heart first.

Many people was looking for "The Secret" or "keys" to success, whether in academic, career, relationship, health or weight management.  No doubt that the know-how is important. However, having a supportive self-beliefs is far more important.  It is what we say to ourselves daily that matters.

I call it having the "heart and mind" to be successful first.

Responsibility

Finally, the recent activities of Singapore General Election has ended 1 hour ago with the official ending of the polling day. What will be the outcome is sometimes hard to be predicted.
Regardless of the result, the process is more awakening.
It was an interesting experience for me to read so many online articles, chat, facebook posting and blogging and etc for the past 9 days.
One bordering trend for me is that, it seems like most of the posting is about complaining, venting anger and raise hatred.
Many people had taken the opportunity to bombard the ruling party as if they have done nothing right. (All wrong but nothing right?)
It makes me feel like the whole society is full of people who like to complain or finding flaw only.
It takes me to ponder what had happened to this society? No doubt that there are many areas that can be improved but I think most of the view and opinion online are one-sided.
Isn't it irony that those people fighting for "justice" are only giving an "unjust" one-sided view?
There were very few praise (if any) for the government for anything they have done right. I am surprise to see so many bad comments attacking whatever the ruling party has uttered out.
Are you saying we are living in "hell" for the past 5 years? Does it means you are totally not happy with your living condition for the past five years?
Have you ever post a comment in facebook celebrating your joy/blessing/success/happy moment/ for the past 3 years? If yes, then we need to have a check and balance here.
I am also very surprised because it has been 5 years and suddenly now that so many people (and some self-professed "very human" or "guru") just digging the flaw of the policy within 9 days.
Where have you all gone for the past 4.5 years?
I may not know all the policies that have been passed over the last 5 years.
However, I think the government has done a good job to cushion the impact of financial crisis during 2008 - 2009.
It had helped many to save their job by spending huge amount on re-training and upgrading the skills of the existing work force, especially the middle age workers.
We all know the hard reality, it is harder for a middle age worker to find job once they lost their job. And those middle age workers could be the fathers or mothers of the current young voters.
I wonder has anybody say a "thank you for saving my job"? Or are they just pure complaining "no pay raise". Is this the ugly side of human-being?
Some people even dig out "sad" video to raise emotion and raise hatred towards the ruling party.

My questions to those "guru" or "supreme being" is "- As a "successful, financially well to do, morally high people, what have you done for the past five years to make things better?
IF you have done, my applause and respect to you. If you didn't, then what a hypocrisy we have here? Integrity is the essence of everything, isn't it?
Most importantly, looking forward, now that you have "dug" out so many sad stories of the society, as a better of resident, are you taking up your social responsibility to help others or are you just going to sit there do nothing, waiting for the authority to help those needy?
My wish for all residents here is, don't just sit there for the next five years, waiting for opportunity to in the limelight again. Do something fruitful besides using mouth.

I am glad that the GE activities had raised the awareness of the needy people in the society. My hope is, as a conscious resident, lets not forget our own social responsibility first. Don't wait for the authority to step in.
If we see somebody had an accident on the road, do we just wait for the police to come or do we step up and offer a helping hand first?
I hope we just don't stand behind the tree do nothing, except finding opportunity to complain if and when the police arrive late.
In my learning journey as an entrepreneur, one phrase I hold dearly is "For things to change, I must change first". Lets do our part as a conscious resident, volunteer ourselves first.
Don't wait. Please don't do nothing and wait for another 5 years.
What has this General Election got to do with success? Indeed, it has. "Responsibility" is the fundamental of all success. Lets not forget our "social responsibility" and be a successful and gracious resident.

Tribute to Susan Boyle and other Talent in Britian Got Talent

As I watched Britain Got Talent semi final and final shows, I was amazed by the talented souls.
They put in their heart and souls, every bit of their energy and passion to their performance.
One of the great individual is Susan Boyle. She has inspired many people around the world.
In Singapore, her video on YouTube was shown to children in primary schools. This has shown that Susan is not just anybody but somebody.

Of course, fame normally invites cynics and critics on her too. (This should be viewed as a positive sign because it means that Susan Boyle is really Somebody. Most of the great individual in the world are not short of critics too. Welcome to the club, Susan!)

I think what Simon Cowell said to her at The Final was totally true. With her powerful voice and the perfect performance, she has silenced her critics. Irregardless the final poll outcome, I think Susan is a champion because she shown that she can overcome her own obstacle and pressure and be better. This is truely a champion spirit.

Would like to present the following quote to all the participants in Britian Got Talent for standing on the stage and letting their light shine, especially Susan. As you all let your own light shine, you unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson
-------------------------------------------
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others

Get well soon Susan.

Watch Susan powerful performance...

Warrior of the light

I attended a training last October. It was a truely experiential warrior camp.
During the camp, it was like a mirror. To show who we really are when under high pressure or fear or even at difficult situation.

We learnt how to be a warrior of our life. A true warrior is not one who conquer other people but who conquer oneself to be a better person in life.

I realised that everyday, every moment there will be different challenges for us to take and decisions for us to make. If one person has clarity on what one wants to achieve or becoming, by keep focusing on that goal and keep persueing the goal, he or she will finally succeed.

Knowing the above statement is almost a common sense to many. However, practising it will take a change in mental toughness and cultivating such habit.

I recently conducted a workshop. However, my team and I did not spend much time for the publicity. The number of interested participant was unsually low even it was a couple of days before the workshop.
Knowing that calling off the workshop would be an easier way out then continue to try hard to make things happened. However, I put what I learnt from the warrior camp into this context. "A warrior do everything at 100%!" I decided to persist on making the workshop to continue.

My team member asked me, "are we going to continue with the workshop? Should we prepare for tomorrow"
My answer was, "if we give up this time, we can give up many times for the rest of our life".
It's just like in the movie, Glory Road, the coach Hutskin told the player, Shed, "we don't not back off from this defence box!"

Of course, by holding on the belief that the workshop will go on, we continue to make phone calls and confirmation of participants.
The next day, we finally make the workshop run pretty smoothly and in fact the result was 200% more than our original target.

If we would have cancel the workshop the night before the workshop, we wouldn't have chance to see fruitful results. I guess this "tough situation" that test our belief system will happen many many times in our life.

I come to the realisation that successful people is not somebody achieving great things overnight. But successful person has the habit of completing everything he started, no matter how small a thing. That includes keeping promises and be on time to appointment. This is what I think, a true warrior of the light.

With year 2009 just a few days ahead, it's time to really have a moment with myself and access what I have done over the year of 2008. It's good time to have clarity of the goals that I want to achieve in year 2009.

Many would expect tough challenges ahead in year 2009. However, I would ask myself what is the opportunity waiting for me.

Success through crisis

Recently I get to received an award for contributing in a business networking organisation. It's called Givers Gain Award.
I started to think, will I have a chance to get this award 2 years ago? Probably not.
Two years ago, the group I was attached with are still up and running with many zest.

However, over the last year, things started to change and the business network group I am associated with started to shrink to miserable size.

Many 'potential' star performers chose to leave the group or find a greener patch while there are a few of hard core low profile people like me chose to stay on and rebuild the team. I even had a senior advised me to give up and join another team. Of course, it was very tempting to join another established group to gain instant gratification.

However, I guess there are certain core qualities in each individual. The six of us chose to stay on and rebuild the team. We do not want to abondone our teamate just to find a greener patch elsewhere. That time, our energy was low, we were exhausting our contacts and every efforts we try to bringing new blood seems not bearing any result.

Will we see light at the end of the tunnel?

I guess success is really a self belief that makes us persevere. Do we believe that we have the capability to turn things around and be successful? Many people chose the easier path, quit.

Success is the ability to persevere until our time has come.

Deep down our heart we know what we capable to do. I still remember success guru, T. Harv Eker says that, "successful people have the habit of complete everything they start". Ya, I think that's the reason we chose to stick together and continue to persevere.

For all of us who stayed on and successfully rebuilding our team, I shall call them the true hero.

Only through crisis, a character is shown.
Only through crisis, we test our mental toughness.
Only through crisis we have clarity what we want.
Only through crisis, we define who we are and what we capable to do.
Only through crisis, we create success.

Crisis, is not a bad word after all!

p/s: I consider this is meaningful success to me and my teamate. Success breeds success!

How I used law of attraction to help my partner

Last week, my partners and I returned from a business and leisure trip form Taiwan. We were exposed with a "Opportunity of a Lifetime", a truelly, simple Passive Income Generator! All of us were so excited about that and we can't help sharing with our friends when we reached home.

We know that this thing is really a revolution to the our industry and it's really a CRAZY OFFER! One of my partners was so excited that within two days, she has 10 potential deal to be closed.

However, while she was walking towards the train station, she suddenly said, "What if I have zero result?"

This is really the FEAR factor coming in. What I did was spending 10 min with her, using a very SIMPLE and useful visualisation technique which I uses frequently, let her see what's going on within her.

Instantly, she realized what is stopping her is not the outside world but herself. She understand how her feeling towards money and success is affecting her result. (Thoughts leads to feeling, feeling leads to action, action leads to result)

Shortly after the 10 min coaching session,
I asked her "Are you attracting what you want?"
She just smiling and say "I understand now."

The next days, she did fantastically at our soft launch event and she has a higher closing rate.
Talking about law of attraction, emotion is one of the key.

Success is achieving win-win-win-win situation

Recently we have an exhibition at Singapore Movie Fiesta. It was a fun, exciting and tiring five days events. However, we learnt some great lessons.

Our exhibition booth attracted the most crowd (according to the organiser). There were many times that our booth were so crowded that we felt that we are under strength. Even though it was a brand awareness campaign, we did make a good sales out of the event. The 169 products really speak for itself.

However, this is what I observed on why we are attracting so many crowd and making a good sales revenue.

1) We make a good massive value outrageous offer to our visitors even before they become our customer.
2) We provide a genuine good quality product. (check out www.beaconlohas.blogspot.com for more information).
3) Our sales personnel are already a good testimonial of the product. That's the reason they can share the goodness of the product genuinely and sincerely.
4) We provide irristable offer for visitors who are interested. They really get lots of value by taking action on the spot.
5) Teamwork and synergy comes from common goal.
6) Even we were not located at the strategic area, we makes things work for us by changing ourselves. By focusing on our goal, the disadvantage in location becomes insignificant.
7) Thinking out of the box allows us to provide greater value to our visitors at almost zero cost.
8) For The Beacon group, not only we achieve tangible sales results and finding new business partner. The personal growth for our members is unmeasurable.

Through the short five days, we were acheiving win-win-win-win situation for our visitors, customers, sponsors and ourselves.

The 169+19 effect is amazing

I was reviewing this video after we shot it in the afternoon. Samto was using Bel'Air 169 Series, 169+19.
Besides the face lifting effect, I realized something interesting. Samto's left eye bag was reduced!!

Watch carefully at the beginning of the video, his left eye bag is slightly bigger then right eye bag.
At 35 secs time, you can see his left eye bag is smaller then his right eye bag. Of course, his left side of the face is less chubby than the right side too.

This amazing!!

Initially, I thought it might be just one off case. I quickly look at the other video I took on another guy in the evening. That was his first time really using the product. (We have to teach him while recording the video).
He tried it on the right side and we see reduction in the eye bag and wrinkle. After tried on both side, both of his eye bag were also reduced within a minute!!

Imagine you use it only once, and you see improvement less then 1 minute!!
What can be the long term benefit if you were to use it regularly everyday?

This is really a revolutionary product for me. Even though I am a guy who is not really into beauty stuff. I would use it because it's simple, easy and natural for the refreshing and cleaning face before I meet my customer of friends.

By spray mist to moisturize my face, I get many benefits, face firming, radiance, face lifting (look younger).

Somebody passed me a bottle of moisturized last night. It was a popular brand that you can find it on retail outlet.
I tried it and it doesn't have the refreshing and firming effect as 169+19.

Last Lecture of a Dying Man

He is a professor from Carnegie Melon University professor who is dying from Pancreatic Cancer.

What he said about in persuing our dreams and goals, we may not achieve our goal exactly but what we gain is experience.
"If someone ride on you, that means he cares"
More importantly the last statement he made about how the dreams will come to him if he live his life "properly".

Lets listen to him... (12 minutes version in Oprah show)

Valentine Day success?

What does Valentine's Days has to do with success?

Talking about successful... It doesn't mean have to be something very big...

I went to our clubhouse 'supposely' to help out my friends in setting up the valentine's day dinner event and of course supporting their event by patronising them too.

Even though the people turned out is not fantastic, but I would give these event an "A" because it's a grade "A" experience at the end of the day.

Every dishes presented on my table was a pleasent surprise...

From the "transforming" of normal table to a nice setting, the delicious soup, the nicely decorated chicken chop, the red wine, the rose petals on the table, the chocolate, the photo taking and the rose for the lady as well...

All of these were done with lots of kind and lovely thought...

It was a "wow" after another "wow" in my heart... (Life is full of pleasent surprises when you were least expected)

I won't compare it with fine dining or any other franchise restaurant that was very commercialized, or those trying to 'capitalized' on valentine's day to charge extra.

Those commercialized outlets cannot be compared to this dinner I had. The dinner was served with heart and soul by the people who take pride in what they are doing. Furthermore, it cost you a little but having you in mind to make it a great experience for you.

That is something you won't not get in a typical restaurant.

I still remember Mother Theresa said something like this... "it's not doing the great things but doing the small thing with great love".
Yes, this valentine day dinner is this special "small thing".
Yes, this is a "success" for Valentine's Day for the organiser and the patron.

ps: For those who were invited but could not make it... Too bad, they don't know what they were missing ;-)

Achieving GOAL

I was watching one of the Guerilla Business School Video I bought last year.

The very first video mentioned the importance of having SUCCESSFUL Business Mindset.

The first speaker is the top 25 richest person in USA. He is Bill Bartmann.
In his presentation, he spent significant effort and time mentioning the importance of having Self-Esteem. I hope I can recite the essence of his explaination soon.

Bill was total "failure" by the eye of general public but now he is top 25 richest man in USA.

In his presentation, he brings in a very beautiful concept about achiving GOAL.
He told the audience not to put it as "GOAL" but replace the word with "PROMISE".

The idea is when people think about GOAL, it must be something far or probably not achieveable. Probably, it allows an "option" not to achieve the GOAL.

How about replace the world with "PROMISE"?
In general, people will keep to the "PROMISE" but not "GOAL" because it's a "PROMISE"!!

The very minimal, keep the promise to myself.

Here are the basic steps to achieve any GOAL (PROMISE)

1. Make sure it is your GOAL.
2. Don't call it A goal, call it a "PROMISE"
3. Clearly identify your "PRMOISE" (clariy leads to power)
4. Identify your personal motivator (can be your screaming mother in law...)
5. Create a "PROMISE PLAN"
6. Review your plan regularly
7. Tell yourself that you will succeed
8. Tell others of your "PROMISE"
9. Envision the results (is this related to the "BEING" I mentioned in previous post?)

Hey, I have achieved my "PROMISE" of posting this on the blog.
Hi-5 for me!.. :-)

Til we meet again...

success breeds success!

The "BEING"

I came across many articles, books and video about success in life or businesses or wealth
Most of them emphasis the importance of "BEING".

To my simple understanding the "BEING" means being the kind of person you vision to be when you are successful. It's more like a "state" in mind then the action or doing.

Robert Kiyosaki mentioned in his Rich Dad series book on Be-Do-Have.
Does that mean "Be" the kind of successful person you wish? Followed by DOing the necessary things and habit that "person" will do when he is succesful. Eventually, you will HAVE the things that successful perosn will HAVE.

There is another saying on SUCCESS is a HABIT. So "BEING" also means having the HABIT of successful person?

Similarly, the video "The Secret" also mentions that "BEing" is important.

Even "The Greatest Network Marketer" by John M Ford also mentioned that that person fully experienced the state of "BEing" and his results start to show with ease and EFFORTLESSLY...
Eventually, this person becomes the next Greatest Network Marketer.

That's my understanding about "BEING"
I hope my understanding is right.

Is there any other intepretation about "BEING"???
I hope I can give you all more clarity soon..

Success Breeds Success

It's 2nd day of chinese new year. Time to get started on Success Tree...

As the saying "Success Breeds Success", one way to get Success Tree to add more value is to collect all the success of every individual. There is no success that is too small to be mentioned.

The best way is to walking the talk.... my success is waking up early in the morning...

I guess another way to add value is to post artichle what I have read so other people will see them also.

Ya, almost forget to mentioned is after the Life Directions training, my Mission is to "connect, touch, serve each individual so that they can have more JOY in their life"

This blends well with Success Tree.. :-)
